about Busy (Bradford Johnson, Jr.) is a musician/producer from Maryland, USA. Born in Washington, DC, he was exposed to a broad range of music from an early age by his parents, Cynthia, a singer, and Brad, a bassist. Busy began composing his own works in 2001 as soundtracks to his 3D animation projects, and gradually developed his sound. The name Busy represents the avoidance of stagnation, and the insatiable drive for expansion, but also fits his active personality. His musical influences include A Tribe Called Quest, OutKast, Steely Dan, Radiohead, Portishead, Pat Metheny and Korn among a multitude of others. He aims to create visual and imaginative experiences with his sounds, and to disrupt normalcy in modern music. His first record, a 7" vinyl containing "Light Curtain" and "Raid", will be released on Circulations Records in December 2008. His current project, "Uinverse" (U-Inverse) is slated for a Spring 2009 release; and a collaborative, untitled aquatic-themed project will follow in 2009.
